Youth Programmes

Depu organises travels for children and teenagers to expose them to different cultures and languages. Some of the targeted benefits are the inspiration to help shaping their lives or the stewardship to form their worldview. The world is a stunning place and experiencing it as a young person can trigger a more cultured, compassionate and balanced personality.

The educational approach adopted by Depu relies on Waldorf education and Nature Pedagogy. Read more about our philosophy here.

The itineraries of the trips are built around landmarks of historical and environmental significance. The tours are animated by professional guides and teachers. The programmes of the trips are articulated around age groups, and include diverse learning experiences such as arts, language, music, logic, artisanal work, sports, math and acting. The use of gadgetry is discouraged to help the child reclaim the “space” to think, experience and innovate. As far as the meteorological conditions permit, outdoor activities are strongly priviledged.

Depu adopts the concept of “slow learning” during the tours, which means that the programme is not overpacked with activities and that in-depth explainations and various view points are given to the toddlers to allow them develop a critical sense and impress a lasting learning experience.

Our trips target individuals that have an independent enough spirit to be able to live out of their comfort zone for a couple of weeks. All the same, Depu ensures that all the activities comply with international and local norms of security, education and children services.

Some Of Our Past Youth Programmes

English culture and language – UK

July-August 2017

This two weeks trip focused on English classes taught by three experienced English teachers with experience in Waldorf education. It also involved a good deal of cultural visits and entertainments.

The visit to Cornwall with its legendary landmarks, like the King Arthur Castle and the Tor of Glastonbury, have been of particular interest to the group.

Surfing lessons and eating “fish and chips” have been memorable experiences for all!
