Sense Gardens, or “Experience Fields for the development of the senses”, are manmade setups that have the objective of awakening the use of all human senses. According to its creator, Hugo Kükelhaus, the Experience fields are designed to project the individual in the sensory experience of its environment as opposed to an intellectual encounter with it. This sensory-founded method of feel and analysis, being it a “living” approach, is thought to improve the way the individual learn. “Experience Fields” have attracted important scientific research and are the foundation of important modern educational theories.
Sense Gardens are versitile and can be set up in farms, educational structures and health centres. They can promote different areas of the personality and therefore can be adapted to the needs of the audience they target.
